In line with the best governance practices in the market, Copel seeks to constantly improve its processes and accredit them with the competent entities, in order to give transparency and credibility to its corporate management model.
Certifications ensure reliability and security throughout the supply chain and in the services provided to society, and they demonstrate the company’s commitment to integrity and diligence to shareholders and investors.
Copel Certifications
Copel, committed to the principles of transparency, equity, accountability and corporate responsibility, complies with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as improves its internal management and corporate governance controls.
Certifications are conducted by accredited certification bodies, which are contracted to perform external audits of processes, assessing compliance with the requirements of the NBR ISO 9001, NBR ISO 14001, NBR ISO 45001, NBR ISO 37301, and NBR ISO 56001, which address, respectively, quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety management, compliance, and innovation management systems. This results in greater process efficiency, reduced environmental impacts, the prevention of accidents and occupational illnesses, and a strengthened commitment by the organization to meeting legal requirements.
In the area of environmental management (ISO 14001), the scope of the certification covers 91.9% of the generation capacity operated by Copel at its own hydroelectric plants.

Supplier Certification
The recognition process by Copel Distribuição (Copel DIS) and Copel Geração e Transmissão (Copel GET) considers suppliers’ compliance with laws, contractual clauses, technical and economic-financial capabilities, respect for human rights, safe and dignified working conditions, as well as proof of tax and labor compliance and environmental commitment.
Recognition by Copel GET also includes structured procedures for performance evaluation, assessment, classification, and auditing of results.
The main objective of this recognition is to promote supplier compliance and alignment with Copel’s objectives, standards, policies, and values.
