Integrity Program

Copel’s Integrity Program aims at the correct treatment of ethical and conduct deviations and mainly the implementation of anti-corruption measures adopted for the prevention, detection and remediation of acts harmful to the Company, which involve, for example, the occurrence of bribery, kickbacks, conflicts of interest, fraud in bidding processes and payments, among others.

The Program is fully aligned to the Company’s values and was established based on the guidelines of the Office of the Comptroller General – CGU, a federal agency that is a reference in the promotion of ethics and integrity. With well-defined practices, the Program is aimed at all employees, suppliers, outsourced employees, interns, service providers and contractors.

To fulfill its function, the Program is based on 5 pillars which, interdependently, sustain the development and constant improvement of all the mechanisms adopted. Each pillar provides the program with the necessary structure to institute an ethics and integrity culture within Copel, which is the main objective of the Program.

The program is managed by the Governance, Risk and Compliance Department and the application of the mechanisms involves all areas of the company, which, according to their specialties, ensure the proper functioning and improvement of the implemented practices.
