SDG Indicators Copel Distribution

In line with the Company’s sustainability strategy and voluntary commitments, Copel Distribuição manages the SDG indicators and programs related to ESG practices, based on the global goals of the United Nations (UN) and linked to internal goals.

Through the social programs, Mais Energia and Iluminando Gerações, Copel Distribuição aims to:

– Provide access to basic electricity notions for 100 women in the Copel DIS concession area by 2025 (Target 4.4);

– Provide access to professional qualification courses for women in the 5 macro regions of Copel DIS concession area by 2025 (Target 4.4);

– Ensure the implementation of the project and access to the Illuminating Generations Program to elementary school students for 150 municipalities by 2030 (Target 4.7).

Through the infrastructure programs, Copel DIS intends to:

– Invest R$ 2.7 billion in 25,000 km of three-phase network by 2025 – Paraná Three-Phase Program (Target 7.1);

– Build solar plants to generate 100% of its own electricity consumption by 2030 (Target 7.2).

To ensure a safe, inclusive and healthy work environment, Copel DIS undertakes to promote:

– Cultural Transformation Program (Target 8.2);

– Occupational Health and Safety Training – operations with significant risks (Target 8.8).

With the Smart Grid Program, Copel DIS will:

– Invest R$ 820 million in smart solutions contemplating 1.5 million consumer units by 2025 (Target 9.4).

With a focus on sustainable development, Copel DIS is committed to:

– Recycle or reuse the waste destined (generated) by Copel DIS (Target 11.6);

– Reduce the km driven in the areas covered by the Smart Grid Program and converted into tons of CO2 (Target 11.6);

– Increase the number of families participating in community gardens linked to the Cultivar Energia Program (Target 11.3).

In view of its environmental responsibility, Copel DIS plans to:

– Reduce 10% in electricity consumption in Copel Distribuição’s consumer units in the year 2023 (Target 13.3);

– Reduce the kilometers driven in the areas covered by the Smart Grid Project and converted into tons of CO2 (Target 13.3);

– Expand the number of students impacted by the Enlightening Generations Program about sustainability and the conscious use of energy (Target 13.3).
