Natural Resources

The management of natural resources is fundamental for the sustainability of Copel’s business, which has as its main guidelines in relation to the environment:

• the promotion of eco-efficiency in all processes, aiming at reducing consumption and the sustainable use of natural resources and ecosystem services;
• the mitigation of negative impacts and the enhancement of positive ones in its activities and businesses;
• the relevance of conscious use of natural resources to minimize the impacts of climate change on the operation and expansion of assets.
