The construction and operation of Copel GeT’s generation and transmission projects may result in changes to the land associated with natural and human-induced factors, such as land exposure, drainage systems, access roads, reservoir banks, structural foundations, substations, and areas adjacent to the assets. To protect soil and water resources, prevent the silting up of rivers and reservoirs, and avoid environmental, land-use, and operational impacts, the Erosion Process Monitoring Program is implemented.
This program involves the identification, classification, monitoring, and referral for treatment of erosion processes observed in areas under the Company’s responsibility, taking into account their location, characteristics, origin, stage of development, and associated risks. These actions contribute to the prevention and mitigation of impacts on the physical environment, water resources, biodiversity, third-party areas, and operational infrastructure, in addition to supporting compliance with environmental licensing requirements and maintaining the legal compliance of the projects.
